We both decided the pizza was not worth it, we had gotten full sitting there waiting on the pizza after the garlic knots were served. We each ate a slice and a half as we picked bites with lots of toppings to go with bites that had no toppings but cheese. I am assuming as they struggled to get the cheese to melt with the unevenness of the ingredients and how they were dispersed over the entire area of the pizza it had to be cooked too long to achieve the center crust being done. Half of the pizza was very dark to burnt on the bottom. Very sloppy presentation and the pizza in general did not cook well due to the depth of the ingredients in the center of the pizza. When you took a slice of pizza and started to eat the first few bites were drowning in olives and mushrooms and then the last 2/3 of your slice of pizza was like eating a cheese pizza. The pizza was served hot but the mushrooms and olives were basically dumped into the center 1/3 of the pizza. We still ordered a 1/2 pepperoni and mushroom, 1/2 green olive and mushroom pizza with extra cheese. There certainly is not that much of a difference in cost when you buy them in the can/jar at the grocery store. She said yes even though there is an up charge for green olives at $2.00 on the pizza instead of $1.00 for black ones. It was ordered and I clarified with our server that the green olives I asked for on the pizza were sliced regular green olives. We thought we would get a medium pizza as well. The garlic was quite strong, but the fettuccine sauce helped cut it a little. After diving twice in the morning and twice that afternoon we thought we were more hungry then we ended up being. Our friend said to definitely try the garlic knots with cheese and fettuccine sauce. We went to grab a pizza for 8 pm dinner on a recommendation for "good pizza, locally." He said Key Largo isn't really known for "great" pizza but he liked Tower of Pizza.
